On 2nd of June 2014, Year 6 went on a residential trip to Avon Tyrrell. It was a great experience for the whole class. We all enjoyed the activities. We also loved the food and the puddings they gave us! There were lots of amazing activities, such as:
Abseiling, Climbing, High ropes, Low ropes, Canoeing, Kayaking, Raft-building, Adventure course, Bush craft, Zip wire, Archery, Mountain biking, problem solving, Swimming, Night walk and Campfire.
All these activities were led by very energetic leaders that kept us going throughout the day.
The food at Avon Tyrrell was spectacular, even if you were a vegetarian. Every tea time was a different theme. One night we had Chinese, the next was Italian and the one after that was a barbeque. Each morning, we had a full and delicious English breakfast with hash browns, fried eggs, toast, bacon, sausages, beans and a choice of cereal. But lunch and dinner varied.
The accommodation at Avon Tyrrell was fantastic. Some children stayed in the huge house, but the majority of the Class stayed in the cosy lodges. However, both of the accommodations were sensational.
On the last night, the class went to a disco with another school. We enjoyed it a lot considering we had never met them before.
Thank you so much to Mrs Loader, Mrs Rippon, Mrs Thomas, Miss Thomas, Miss Saunders, Mr Rickard, Mrs Miccoli, Miss Acreman, Miss Carlisle and Bryanna for helping out.
