Swallows class had an exciting day on the 1st June when we celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. We had spent the week researching the family tree of the Queen and learning about the Queen’s life from when she was a very young Princess Elizabeth.
We watched a film of her Coronation and thought about how sad and brave she was when her father died and she had to become Queen at a young age.
During the week we brought in toys and other interesting items from the 1950’s to the current day. We created a museum in our classroom and the other classes came to look at our museum and the writing, paintings, orbs and sceptres we had made during the week.
We hope you like our photos and some of our writing about the Queen.
