On Thursday 28th April we will be joining in the spirit of national celebration for the royal wedding by holding our own party day at St Joseph’s. We invite our younger children to come as prince or princess, bride or groom while everyone else is welcome to dress in “red, white and blue”. The children will be enjoying a range of art and craft activities throughout the day, along with learning about our rich heritage and some of our national traditions.
At lunchtime we hope to have a street party so, although the children will be eating their packed lunches, you may wish to plan a more traditional party style lunch or perhaps have a decorated lunch box. Also you are invited to bring your own packed lunch and join us from 12 noon to 1pm if the weather allows us to be outside (the more the merrier, picnic rugs required!). [Please remember the school’s no nuts policy.]
We hope that we give our children a memorable day and we will be reminding you again of this special occasion after our return from Easter on Tuesday 26th April.
