The whole school took part in ‘Into The Future’ week in February. The week kicked off with an assembly which introduced the theme of entrepreneurship. Each class was set a challenge. We were given £50 per class and were asked to try to make as much money as possible that would then be donated to the Bamenda appeal. Each class had to decide what products they would make and sell. We did market research, costed out materials and then set about making our products and advertising them. The week culminated in a Dragons Den type presentation by each class on video in the hall.
The following week each class set about making their products for the Futures Fair on Friday afternoon. The hall was buzzing with activity and both pupils and parents bought most of the products that were on sale! Please visit our Gallery to see photos of products the children made.Amazingly, every class made a profit! The winners with the most profit were Year Six with their cupcakes. Year Four with their fabric monsters came second and Swans class with their friendship bracelets came third.
The week was a great success and it’s good to know that our school has such budding entrepreneurs!
