Food Day

On 25 January the Junior children were fortunate enough to have a team of professional chefs, led by Mary Reader, from the Christchurch Food Festival. Years 3 and 4 were finding out about French cuisine, whilst Years 5 and 6 sampled Greek fare linked to their history. Here are a few quotes from our children:

“It taught me a lot about the food in Greece. I was surprised at how different it was to ours!”

“It helped me to imagine what it was like to live in Ancient Greece.”

“I thought I wouldn’t like the fish – but it was great!”

“Trying new foods makes me more adventurous with my cooking.”

“It wasn’t all my type of food but I enjoyed the lesson and I learned a lot.”
