On Friday 6th May eight children from Year 4 were invited to Saxon Square for the Food Festival live judging of entries for the ‘Healthy Meal on a Plate’ competition, entered by many children from local schools. All eight children had been selected as finalists and we were delighted to learn that Cian had won first prize and Olivia had taken third place. The children were congratulated on a high standard of entries – well done to you all!
The children who went to Saxon Square had this to say about the experience: We felt a bit nervous because we stood in front of loads of people who were watching. We were embarrassed a little when we had to speak into a microphone. Cian said he felt nervous because he won! Although a bit scary it was great fun and we felt surprised, happy and proud.
