    We are looking forward to this year's Summer Fayre which will be held on Friday 8th June. As always this event has a lovely feeling of community.  Attractions in the past have included a bouncy castle, face painting, Year 6 stalls, raffles and tombolas as well as performances from some of our after-school clubs. We are always looking for helpers so if you can help on the day to take part on a stall, or help to set up and clear away, we would appreciate your time. Watch this space for more details!

    Being part of the PTA is a very rewarding experience and can make such a difference in your child's school life. We have a very hard-working team of PTA members but we do need more helping hands, so please do consider joining, even if for just a few hours.     PTA Race Night Fundraiser
    A fantastic night was had by all at the PTA Race Night on February 9th. There was lots of eating, drinking, laughing and shouting (at the horses racing!). Thank you Dee once more for a fabulous evening, to all those who helped on the evening, along with Wayne, of Red Cherry Catering for, once again providing us with a lovely supper. As well as it being a lovely community event an amazing £753 was raised for the school.   • PTA Summer Fayre 2016June 11th 2016

    Our popular Summer Fayre
    This year's PTA’s Summer Fayre was once again a great success. As always there was a lovely feeling of community - with the St Joseph’s family and local community enjoying the dry weather! Attractions included a bouncy assault course, Littledown Football, face painting, pony rides, stalls, raffles and tombolas as well as performances including karate, zumba and Mad4Dance. Thank you to everyone who organised, helped on the day, performed in the “arena” and came to enjoy the event.   • PTA Mini ‘London Marathon’ FundraiserApril 25th 2016

    Mini London Marathon Landmark
    On Monday 25th April, London came to Christchurch as the children took part in their own mini 'London Marathon' and ran around the landmarks of our great capital city in the playground. Our fundraising event created great excitement with the children and every lap earned money that will go towards new playground benches, a replacement “pagoda” for the far end of the field and some new flower beds.  

  • AFC Bournemouth Players Open Trim TrailMarch 23rd 2016

    We were delighted to welcome special guests Matt Ritchie and Adam Federici from Bournemouth Football Club who came along to open our new Trim Trail. The new and improved Trim Trail has been funded by our fantastic PTA along with Sovereign Housing, the Truemark Trust and the Bisgood Trust. Excited pupils (and staff!) saw the Cherries players cut the ribbon to open their new Trim Trail alongside Rachel Lambon and Adam Dean from Christchurch Tennis and Frank Hunt and Emily Gard from Mudeford Phoenix Ladies FC. The visitors were also treated to a Samba performance by our own Year 4 Samba drummers!     This year’s M and M production “The Jungle Book” was funded by our PTA. The children were treated to an exciting, entertaining and visually brilliant show with amazing puppetry by very professional and talented actors.     Thank you to the PTA for funding Mr G’s science extravaganza on Thursday 22nd May 2014. All the children got to see the awe and wonder of science through his amazing tricks. This included an air blower with smoke rings, batteries made of lemons and the children made hovercrafts.   • Fabulous Foraged Food EveningNovember 22nd 2013

    On Tuesday 12th November, a Fabulous Foraged Food Evening was held at school.  We were treated to delicious charcuterie, food demonstrations showcasing locally sourced and foraged ingredients, and even a foraged mushroom auction! An amazing £700 was raised, which will be used specifically for food related projects within the school. We thank Mary Reader, founder of the Christchurch Food Festival, and James Golding, executive chef at The Pig, for donating their time and talents to this special evening.
